West Indies brought Pakistan to lose

Another stunning T20 match where West Indies gave a target of 151 runs to Pakistan. Pakistan was almost static in planning the match as they kept on losing the initial important wickets. For West Indies, Rampaul and Bishoo did the wonders by taking 3 and 4 wickets respectively.

The match was tough, but West Indies managed to win over Pakistan in their only T20 match. Bishoo has been declared as player of the match for his bowling figures of 4 wickets for 17 runs.

West Indies managed to get a decent total in their only T20 match against Pakistan

The early wicket of Fletcher by Abdur Rehman came as a big shock to West Indies, and they had to decide on a better partnership to have a decent total. Thanks to Simmons and Bravo for their partnership of 99 runs that West Indies have been able to reach a figure of 150 runs in their only T20 match against Pakistan.

Abdur Rehman and Wahab Riaz bowled exceptionally well to stop West Indies reaching a deathly score for Pakistan. West Indies have given Pakistan a target of 151 runs to win the match.

Pakistan will bat soon, and will try to over-power the bowling attack by West Indies Bowlers.

A hard slam by Kings XI Punjab on Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals was not able to play its last match in IPL because of the weather conditions, and they were not to score today because of the worst condition imposed by Kings XI Punjab. The match was not at all thrilling. Yes! Rajasthan Royals was once at a place where they could have been all out scoring lesser than 100 runs.

The tail-enders tried their best to fight back, but the run rate was soaring high. The result, as expected, was in Kings XI Punjab's favor. They made a great victory by 48 runs.

The player of the match was Shaun Marsh for his stunning innings. The win has broght Kings XI Punjab at number 3 in the chart and Rajasthan Royals is dropped to number 5.

Kings XI Punjab reached the highest score of the Season

Call it their attack to Rajasthan Royals, or defense from the in-form Rajasthan Royals players. Kings XI Punjab has finally done something which was magical. They raised up in the air and scored the highest score of the Season - 195 runs losing 7 wickets.

The Gothic score is not a result of 1-2 players in form, it is a result of smashing hits by Gilchrist, Valthaty, Marsh, and Karthik. Marsh scored 71 runs of just 42 balls to take the team to this place.

Rajasthan Royals has already begun their chase of 196 runs. The pressure of having higher run rate made them lose Rahul Dravid and Asnodkar so early. The struggle will be hard, but not impossible.

Malinga and Gayle making themselves hazy for their countries

According to the latest sources, Lasith Malinga and Chris Gayle have given more importance to IPL than their respective countries. Sources said that Lasith Malinga has been playing in IPL ignoring Srilanka's England tour to be started from May 26. Malinga has filed his documents stating that he has been injured by Knee, and is not fit to go for the tour. He has been continuously playing in all matches of Mumbai Indians.

Another player, Chris Gayle, has decided to replaces Royal Challengers Bangalore's Nannes. He has put IPL over West Indies because of which the West Indies Cricket Board is upset with the player.

This has been a regular practice now where the players are more interested in games which can fetch them money and quick fame. It seems to be a kind of obligation for them to play for their respective countries. Given a choice between playing for money, or playing for country, most of the young players will go with money. Will cricket with a hard core profession soon?

Kolkata Knight Riders turned down by mighty Kochi Tuskers Kerala

An interesting match came to an end when the serious bowling attack by the mighty Kochi Tuskers did wonders.  Kolkata Knight Riders won three games in a row before this game, and were in confidence. Kochi Tuskers captain Mahela Jayawardene, on the other hand, analyzed the pitch properly and predicted a score of 130-140 worthy of a good fight. And guess what!! He was right.

Kolkata Knight Riders stared losing the big wickets from the beginning of the game. They lost Kallis, then they lost Gambhir. They were soon followed by few other wickets. Manoj Tiwary tried to bring peace to the team, but could not handle everything single handedly. All the bowlers from Kochi Tuskers played their part in their win.

Mahela Jayawardene was declared Man of the Match for his stunning innings. Kochi Tuskers Kerala have won three games in a row, and more to come. Well bowled Tuskers!!

Kochi Tuskers Kerala reached a decent total of 132 runs

Kochi Tuskers Kerala started well with their openers - Jayawardene and McCullum. Both played really well, and added 49 runs the first wicket partnership. But after they both got out, the flow was in the same direction. They lost all crucial wickets in a short span, but thanks to Ravinder Jadeja for giving the momentum again. Three Sixes in three overs were good enough to take out Kochi Tuskers from the deep pit.

Gomez and Powar managed few singles and doubles, and took Kochi Tuskers to a defensible total of 132 runs. The local favorite Kolkata Knight Riders to begin the chase soon. If Kochi Tuskers bowlers cannot do much, then Kolkata will surely snatch another win in the IPL 2011, staying on the top of the chart.

Koltata Knight Riders to score 133 at the run rate of just over 6.40.

IPL 2011 (22nd Match) - Kochi Tuskers Kerala Vs Kolkata Knight Riders

The second match for the day is about to begin. The match is scheduled at 20.00 Hrs IST. Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss, and decided to Bowl first. Gautam Gambhir seems to have made chasing as his best formula. He wants his best bowlers to attack well, and limit Kochi Tuskers Kerala at the least possible score, which seems to be a nice strategy considering the form Kolkata Knight Riders are in.

On the other hand, Mahela Jayawardene is looking for a total 130-140 runs considering the pitch reports. He considers that total as worth a fight.

Both teams are ready for the match. Lets enjoy!!

Not much comfortable win by Mumbai Indians

After Pune Warriors got killed at 118, Mumbai Indians began the chase with full confidence. But that confidence was till the score of 9 when Franklin got caught by Wagh.

Sachin and Rayudu intelligently with hope of losing no further wickets soon. They were quite successful in doing that. Sachin got out at the score of 35, and soon Rayudu followed him ending his innings at the score of 37. Pune Warriors were looking in the game as they were able to control Mumbai Indians score at high run rate. The number of balls left and the runs to score were going hand-in-hand.

Andrew Symonds and Rohit Sharma played steadily, and together brought Mumbai Indians to the target to be chased. The last ball by Murali Kartik was well taken care by Rohit Sharma to hit a Six.

Mumbai Indians won the game, but the game was not easy. Pune Warriors gave a manageable fight back, but the end results matter a lot. Another victory for Mumbai Indians, and this brings Mumbai Indians at the second position and Pune Warriors are the fourth.

Man of the Match - Munaf Patel for great bowling figure of taking 3 wickets giving only 8 runs in 2.2 overs.

Pune Warriors all out at 118

The expectations were soaring high before the match begun. Pune Warriors batted first, and were set to score well. But the bowling attack by Mumbai Indians was lethal. From the beginning, the attack was worth a watch.

Malinga, Murtaza, Ahmed, Franklin, and Munaf Patel bowled extremely well. Only Robin Uthappa was able to fight back for a while, where he scored 45 runs of 37 balls. There was not even a single other player to give him a hand in reaching a respectable target.

This mass destruction resulted in Pune Warriors getting all out at a score of 118, which is even lesser than the run rate of 6.00.

Mumbai Indians to begin there chase choose.
